Excerpta is a book tracker that doubles as a reading journal, for iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad. Every book gets its own timeline: the quotes you kept, the notes you wrote, the pages you read each day, and how it all felt.
A 22 MB zip: the App Store screenshots for iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad, eighteen framed screens in light and dark, the icon, the wordmark and the fact sheet.

What It Does
- Point the camera at a page to keep a quote. Tap a paragraph to keep it whole, or drag the highlighter across just the words you want. The text is read on the phone.
- Quotes, notes, reading sessions, photos and moods land on each book's own timeline, day by day.
- Print, e-book and audiobook share the same shelves, by book, author, character or series. EPUBs open in the app, and a highlight becomes a quote.
- The Calendar shows each day you read as a cover, ringed by your mood. Stats shows how the year is going, and Reading Nooks maps the places you read.
- Imports from Goodreads, StoryGraph, Kindle highlights, Kobo and Apple Books, and syncs both ways with Hardcover and KOReader.
- No account. The library lives on your device and in your own iCloud, and export to Markdown is always free.
Who Makes It
Excerpta is made by one person and one corgi, with no investors behind it. trevware also makes Fitera and the Obsidian plugins Sidebar Highlights and Oriko.
